What is the selection process?
- Stage 1 (Qualifying): English Typing Test – 10 minutes duration on computer to assess minimum speed of 40 words per minute; maximum 3% mistakes allowed; only qualified candidates proceed to next stage
- Stage 2: English Shorthand Test – 550-word passage dictated in 5 minutes; 45 minutes given for transcription on computer; total marks 120; maximum 27.5 mistakes allowed; 4 marks deducted per full mistake, 2 marks per half mistake
- Stage 3: Main (Descriptive) Examination
- Stage 4: Interview
- Note: All candidates must qualify each stage individually; no exemption from any stage including typing and shorthand tests; no scribe or compensatory time provided for PwBD candidates
