Who is eligible for UPTET 2026?
Primary Level (Class I–V): As per the official notification, candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree from a recognised university and either a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (DELED/BTC), a 2-year B.Ed, or a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). Candidates with a Master's degree and B.Ed are also eligible. Specific qualification combinations and minimum marks requirements are detailed in the official notification.
Junior Level (Class VI–VIII): Candidates must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree along with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (DELED/BTC) or B.Ed, as per NCTE guidelines. Alternatively, candidates with Senior Secondary/Intermediate qualification and a 4-year B.A. B.Ed, B.Sc. B.Ed, or B.El.Ed are eligible.
